|Prayer for Heart
Deuteronomy 29:26 They went off and worshiped other gods and bowed down to them, gods they did not know, gods he had not given them.
Judges 2:12 They forsook the LORD, the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of Egypt. They followed and worshiped various gods of the peoples around them. They provoked the LORD to anger.
2 Kings 17:35 When the LORD made a covenant with the Israelites, he commanded them: "Do not worship any other gods or bow down to them, serve them or sacrifice to them.
Isaiah 29:13 The Lord says:"These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.
2 Kings 17:28 So one of the priests who had been exiled from Samaria came to live in Bethel and taught them how to worship the LORD.
(It is interesting to note here, the people must be taught how to worship properly.)
Three primary points to consider. These ways can make an immediate impact in the overall quality of our worship services regardless of our musical ability and resources.
Psalm 100:4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise give thanks to him and praise his name.
(Our preparation must begin before we touch the handles of the church door. We enter giving thanks to our mighty God. Then enter the courts of the worship sanctuary praising him for his faithfulness and worshiping His holy name. Ready, Energized and Expecting.)
Psalm 95:6 Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker; tremble before him, all the earth.
(Displaying an awesome respect for His mighty presence, follows our entry into His courts with praise. As the prophet Isaiah being overwhelmed and completely humbled in God's presence. Bowing our hearts and lives, the act of bowing down.)
Heart Allegiance_Its time to "Stop the Hypocracy!" For those who say, "I don't worship that way" and "I just want to stand here and be quiet".
We must ask the
following questions. What gets us going then? What gets
us excited? World Series games?, Basketball games? NBA
MVP, LeBron James? College Football? Movies , Music,
Video Games, Televison? Who do we worship? Pop stars,
Movie stars, Sports stars?

Nehemiah 9:6 (New International Version) 6 You alone are the LORD. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship.
Psalm 96:9 (New
International Version) 9 Worship the LORD in the splendor
of his holiness;
We ask humbly, to help us improve the quality of our worship and corporate interaction with you, throughout your "body" here on earth. May our churches and worship teams be taught to facilitate a more God pleasing approach to their worship ministries, beginning today. May our musicians learn, as well, to greatly enhance the worship experirence by aligning to these core biblical guidelines. We pray, also, for the hearts and lives of the people to respond positively. Coming alive to the interactive nature of the true worship experience.
Corporately, may we quickly learn to enter your gates with thanksgiving and your courts with praise. May we also be led to bow down, in an attitude of respect for you, your holiness, and your splendor. May our heart allegiances come fully back to you, in worship, as well as, life. Giving you our most honest, supreme, and ultimate devotion, in the most lively and interactive worship imaginable.
We love you Lord!
Thank you for hearing and answering our prayers,
the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.
