Our 2001 Prayer Breakfast featured Tim Finley. His eye-opening message gave us insight into the ungodly role that consumerism plays in America.
In 1998, Tim partnered with PGA golf pro Tom Lehman to form Mars Hill Media, a media outreach dedicated to promoting the Gospel of Jesus Christ. At our 2001 Leadership Prayer Breakfast, Tim addressed the question, "Is There a Dark Side to Advertising?". Tim has been a nationally recognized seminar speaker for the Direct Marketing Association in New York City and has spoken to tens of thousands of marketing professionals at key direct marketing conferences held all over the world. He has written numerous articles, which have appeared in national business publications including Target Marketing, Direct Marketing News, National Infomercial Marketing Report and others. In addition, Tim serves on the Dayton's Challenge Board of Directors, which has raised over four million dollars over the last five years for Children's Cancer Research at the University of Minnesota. The Dayton's Challenge is held each June in Minneapolis. He also serves on the board of Restoring the Heart Ministries in Minneapolis, MN as well as other nationally recognized non-profit organizations. Tim holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of Minnesota, a Professional Direct Marketing Degree (P.D.M.) from the Henry Bloch School of Business at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, MO and he has also studied in the Master of Arts in Christian Thought program at Bethel Theological Seminary in St. Paul, MN. He and his beautiful wife Linda live in Minneapolis, MN with their four children Katie, Lauren, Matthew and Jack. |
